Dawes Brewery Black Horse Pocket Watch

DAWES BREWERY BIERE BLACK HORSE ALE & PORTER 1930'S POCKET WATCH. The back of the watch is porcelain enamel and has the exact same graphics as the 12" porcelain enamel serving tray the brewery also issued in the 1930's. We currently have listed a different tray Leo Magnus II to give you a perspective. These watches are quite possibly employee long service presents. There have only been 2 others that have ever surfaced. One is in a long time Quebec collectors personal collection. The second one is owned by a long time Ontario collector who sold his collection of Black Horse memorabilia 3 years ago but kept his watch as it is his favorite piece of the collection. Neither of these examples are for sale. This watch offered is stamped .935 in case with a lion hallmark. It is stamped Swiss made..Patented..15 Jewels. It appears to be all intact but is not working. I believe it to be over wound. Watch measures 1 3/4" in diameter. Porcelain back has light surface scracthes. No chips. It pictures a quart bottle of black horse beer and a Percheron horse the company used. Dawes Black Horse Brewery was located in Lachine Quebec and Montreal Quebec.
